Fiber Fuel is produced by Lewis Mouldings in Nova Scotia, Canada, using the by-product of its pine moulding manufacturing business — millions of feet of mouldings a year, and the wood waste that comes with them.
Because the mouldings are made from kiln-dried Eastern White Pine, the bricks share that same consistency — clean burning, even heat, and an excellent heat output of 8,966 BTUs per pound.

What are the advantages of using Fiber Fuel bricks?
The small compact size of the bricks allows them to stack and store much easier than hard wood. Because they’re made from 100% kiln-dried wood waste, there’s less moisture to cause improper combustion, which lessens the risk of creosote build-up and chimney fires. There’s also less ash than hard wood and reduced emissions.
Are Fiber Fuel bricks ready to use right away?
Yes. Fiber Fuel bricks are ready to use immediately after purchase — there’s no need to season or dry them before use. This also drastically reduces the risk of bringing mould, insects, and dirt into your house.
Can I use them during a power outage?
Unlike pellets, bricks can be used in wood stoves and therefore can continue to heat even during power outages.
How many Fiber Fuel bricks equal a cord of seasoned hardwood?
There are many variables to this question, but a good approximation is that a cord of hardwood equals 84 bags (1 pallet) of Fiber Fuel bricks. Each bag has 12 bricks, so a pallet contains 1,008 bricks.

Not necessarily — it depends on the cost of seasoned firewood in your area, and whether you factor in the time savings and convenience of Fiber Fuel versus traditional firewood.
Do I need a special stove to burn these bricks?
No, the bricks can be used in any well-maintained wood-burning appliance. Burning Fiber Fuel is a little different than hardwood — it takes a couple of days to adjust, and since the bricks burn hotter, be careful not to overfill your appliance.
How long does a brick burn?
There are many variables, but after the initial warm-up of the appliance, a suitable temperature can often be achieved with the addition of 2 or 3 bricks every 80 to 100 minutes.
